Christmas Markets in Mallorca

There’s nothing better than a good Christmas market, the smell of liqueurs, caramel sweets, crafts, Christmas carols, lighting, colourful stalls and, if we’re lucky, the chestnuts and chestnut trees it tempts, with the roasted chestnuts so typical at this time of year.
Luckily, more and more towns and places are joining this Christmas tradition in Mallorca and we find Christmas markets with very different atmospheres, from the most Mallorcan Christmas markets to the most international ones that seem to take us to Santa Claus’ workshop.

What to do in Santa Ponsa?

Santa Ponsa or Santa Ponça, in the local language, is a town on Mallorca in the south-west of the island. It is one of the favorite places for tourism on the island for its beauty and variety of leisure activities. It has a beach of more than 1300 meters (Santa Ponsa beach) and a paradisiacal cove called Caló d’en Pallisser.
